Ai Weiwei
Ai Weiwei was born in pekin in 1957. he is a contemporary artist and a political activist.
He was criticized, the stance of the government of china faced with the democracy and the human rights.
My favorite work of this artist are the ceramic works, and how he can criticize the traditions of China through a representative technique of itself.
In her work Coca-Cola vase he mixed the concept of the traditional ceramic  of China, and the most emblematic icon of the capitalism in the world, the coca-cola icon. In another case he perfonmed an action dropping a piece of ancient pottery, he photographed this action in three photos wich became on the most representative photos of his work.
What I like most of the work of Ai is the trend to represent the traditions of China in crisis as the model of government, according to him, become the ancient topics onto a contemporary criticism.
Themes like the Chinesse zodiac and the ancient ceramic are always present concepts on his work.
